Pura Vida, meaning "pure life," is more than just a phrase in this camp—it's a philosophy that embraces positivity, joy, and appreciation for the wonders of our planet.

I came to Lebanon, Ohio from Downingtown, Pennsylvania by way of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. My B.M. is in both Piano Performance and Music Education. I enjoy being active in my local teaching organizations, currently serving as Secretary of Keyboard Teachers Association of Northern Cincinnati and Vice President of Programs of Ohio Music Teachers Association/Southwest. I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano (NCTM) through Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and since 2021 I’ve been training interested piano students for their Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams, with students scoring consistently First Class Honours with Distinction. I am an award-winning member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) and the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW). My compositions have been featured in the National Federation of Music Clubs bulletin, 2020-2024. I am a featured composer for Tim Topham, a world-renowned Australian piano pedagogue, and my work will be included in a 2024 release by the Irish piano education expert, Nicola Cantan. In addition to composing and private instruction, I also have experience in solo performing, accompanying, choral/general music classroom teaching, and Kindermusik (ages 18 months-3 years). I started my first private piano student when I was 13 and have never stopped teaching!

Whether they’re playing solo or jamming with friends, kids will leave this class with the skills to keep the music going at home. No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to play!

Each day is filled with discovery, creativity, and the magic of making music together. No experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and get ready to play!
