MS/HS Musical Theater Camp

From Hamilton, to Lion King, to Wicked–musical theater is a powerful genre that makes stories truly come alive and touch others.

Explore the enchanting world of theater through singing, acting, and dancing! Students will learn essential techniques in vocal performance, character development, and choreography, and collaborate to create a final showcase for family and friends! Camp instructor: Lizbee Hannah

Each day in this hands-on camp, students will learn fundamental piano techniques while also delving into the art of musical storytelling. They will have the opportunity to collaborate on unique arrangements, develop their expressive skills, and participate in fun group performances. The week culminates in a delightful showcase where students can shine and share their musical journey with family and friends!

Your child will wear many musical hats in this camp! Students will read and write, sing, move, play instruments, and collaborate with new friends. They will learn about all the instruments of the orchestra, and try playing them too! We also make music based on children’s books, poems, and art. Students will also explore songs from other cultures. As always, the camp culminates with a showcase for parents!
